- Identify and source high-quality agricultural products and materials, including, but not limited to: seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, etc.
- Develop and maintain relationships with agriinput producers/distributors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
- Negotiate prices and contracts with suppliers to secure the best deal.
- Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify potential new suppliers and products.
- Conduct regular quality checks on products to ensure they meet the standards
- Maintain accurate records of sourcing activities and report on key metrics to management.
- Bachelor's degree in agriculture, business, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in upstream agriculture industry.
- Strong understanding of agricultural products and materials, including, bot not limited to: seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides.
- Experience in negotiating prices and contracts with suppliers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software.
- Willingness to travel to meet with suppliers and clients as needed.
