    Overview

    Our client is a fast-growing AI startup redefining how work gets done through an innovative agentic AI platform that helps companies automate repetitive workflows and operate more efficiently. As the company continues scaling, they are looking for a Staff Accountant / Finance Operations professional to take ownership of day-to-day financial operations and help bring structure, visibility, and efficiency to cash flow processes.

    This role will play a key part in managing invoicing, collections, accounts payable, and financial operations end-to-end. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment where processes are still evolving.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Generate and issue accurate, on-time customer invoices across subscriptions, multi-payment contracts, and billing portals
    • Record and reconcile customer payments (ACH, wire, card, checks) and resolve discrepancies
    • Actively manage AR, aging reports, and collections with direct customer follow-ups
    • Own end-to-end accounts payable including invoice intake, approvals, vendor setup, payments, and reconciliations
    • Execute vendor, contractor, and partner payments on time while maintaining accurate financial records
    • Maintain up-to-date billing, payment, and customer data across Salesforce and financial systems to ensure clean revenue operations
    • Partner with the external accountant to support month-end and quarter-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
    • Build simple KPIs and reporting to track cash flow and AR/AP performance
    • Identify and implement process improvements and automation to streamline billing, collections, payments, and overall cash cycle

    Requirements

    • 3+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance Operations, Revenue Operations, or similar roles in a fast-growing SaaS or services environment
    • Hands-on experience managing invoicing, collections, AR/AP, and cash flow processes
    • Strong experience with QuickBooks
    • Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM systems
    • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills
    • Strong English communication skills (written and spoken)
    • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
    • Ability to work independently and take ownership in a startup environment
    • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving mindset
    • Comfortable communicating with customers regarding billing and payments

    Nice to have

    • Startup or high-growth company experience
    • Experience working with CPQ or billing platforms
    • Exposure to financial close processes and reporting
    • Process improvement or automation experience
