Finance Controlling Manager
Sephora is looking for a Finance Controlling Manager for Shared Services Center - South East Asia operations.

Sephora SEA's omni channel business spans over 9 countries (Australia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, and Thailand) with 100+ stores and boasts global flagships such as ION and Raffles City in Singapore, F88 in Kuala Lumpur and Pitt Street in Sydney. Sephora SEA is experiencing rapid growth in the region with new store openings and business channels (i.e., Click and collect and marketplace).

Sephora SEA has established a Regional Shared Services Finance team based in Jakarta to support these countries. We are looking for a Finance manager to manage the operational.

Roles & Responsibilities of the Finance Controlling Manager:

Lead and manage the Finance Shared Services Centre
GL Omni Accounting team. This spans across our main pillars of IFRS reporting, scaling of processes and automation
Ensure accuracy, productivity, and timeliness of the financial close and reporting process
Responsible for compliance of the Financial Close and Reporting Process in accordance with Sephora internal control activities
Facilitate the statutory financial statement audit process to support the timely completion of financial statements and compliance to local GAAP
Play an integral part in design and rollout of financial reporting systems and processes by leveraging both internal and outsourced resources
Enable a highperforming team by provide mentorship, guidance and career development expertise
Identify actionable insights, suggest recommendations, and influence team strategy through effective communication
Actively involved in recruitment process, training, developing, and evaluating the team's performance.
Provide support to headquarters, regional and incountry finance management and other cross functional partners as needed. This includes ad hoc financial analysis, technical analysis and special projects
Build an effective working relationship among other teams within SSC with outside SSC (Local countries, regional and Global/HQ.

Key competencies

12+ years of experience in Finance and Accounting function, with 5+ years in a leadership role with management of a large team
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or related field preferred
Excellent knowledge of technical accounting and internal control principles.
Experience with SAP is mandatory
Strong analytical skills, problem solving and followthrough skills
Detailed oriented with understanding of the potential impact of transactions, able to summarise transactional data into key discussion topics for management decisions.
Leadership, negotiation, interpersonal and strategic planning skills to facilitate change and interact with senior management, division management, and business unit partners
Strong understanding of team dynamics in fast paced environment
Ability to engage with, provide guidance to, and quickly affect change across other teams/departments; ability to maintain collective motivation
Strong planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
Fluent in English

Reporting lines & Key Stakeholders:

Report directly to the Shared Services Finance Controller
Responsibility for Omni finance GL team
Daytoday interaction with Shared Services accountants in Jakarta, incountry accountants, Regional team and Corporate.
Position based in Jakarta at Sephora SEA's finance shared services centre
Occasional travel to the SEA countries
