    Job Description

  • Conduct thorough analysis of commercial credit applications, assessing the financial stability, industry risk, and overall creditworthiness of clients.
  • Utilize quantitative and qualitative methods to evaluate financial statements, cash flow projections, and other relevant financial data.
  • Oversee the management and monitoring of the commercial credit portfolio, identifying potential risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of credit risk policies with business objectives.
  • Develop and enhance commercial credit risk policies and procedures in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and communicate credit risk policies to ensure compliance across the organization.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, working closely with underwriting and business development teams.
  • Provide guidance on structuring complex credit transactions to minimize risk exposure.
  • Stay abreast of relevant industry regulations and ensure that commercial credit risk practices comply with local, national, and international regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address regulatory issues and changes.
  • Lead and mentor a team of credit risk professionals, providing guidance and support in complex risk assessments.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the credit risk team. The Successful Applicant
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in commercial credit risk management.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Strong clientele in Shipping, Mining, Manufacture, Agrobusiness, FMCG
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial lending products and services.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing credit risk policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
