General Information:

As a Logistics Sales you will play a pivotal role in providing logistics assistance and solutions to company business requirements.

• Responsible for all supply chain management duties including selecting carriers, researching shipping methods, assessing budgets, and organizing storage.
• Possess indepth knowledge of logistics and inventory systems.

Job Description:

• Grow revenue and relationships with existing customer base.
• Generate leads through cold calling, networking and referrals.
• Utilize inside sales knowledge.
• Quote formal and spot bids.
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction

- maintain close contact with all customers, including follow up on concerns or other issues.

• Communicate effectively with customers, shippers, and receivers regarding changes in pickup/delivery and potential service failures.
• Communicate customer problems to management.
• Exceed all standards for prospecting calls, presentations, proposals and closes.
• Provide documented activity reports of your sales efforts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Execute and monitor strategic and tactical goals to maximize sales, profit and to ensure sales targets are met or exceeded.
• Negotiate contracts and rate agreements.
• Support carrier reps with the coordination of transportation freight in a costeffective manner.
• Track/trace shipments when requested.

Job Requirements:

• Superior phone etiquette.
• Intermediate computer skills (Excel, Word).
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
