Job Role:
The Purchasing Manager is a strategic role focused on the growth of the company's coffee bean vertical.
You will be responsible for executing international procurement plans, particularly for green coffee beans, and expanding the company's supplier network across Southeast Asia.
This role combines deep product knowledge with strong commercial acumen to identify high-quality suppliers, track market trends, establish partnerships through promotions and sales, and ensure the timely delivery of goods to meet the company's aggressive growth targets.
Key Responsibilities:
International Procurement & Target Achievement
Implement and execute the international procurement plan for green coffee beans to meet specific volume and quality targets.
Track the end-to-end implementation of purchase orders to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
Supplier Development & Relationship Management
Proactively identify and develop high-quality coffee bean suppliers across Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Indonesia, etc.).
Maintain and expand long-term cooperative partnerships with existing suppliers to ensure supply chain stability.
Market Intelligence & Strategic Insights
Collect and analyze market information, industry trends, and competitor dynamics
Provide effective market insights and recommendations to leadership to help adjust procurement and sales strategies.
Technical Product Management
Utilize deep knowledge of coffee bean characteristics, including origin, variety, taste profile, and roast levels, to accurately evaluate and recommend products.
Keep abreast of changes in customer demand to ensure the product portfolio matches market needs.Candidate Requirements:
At least 7 years of solid experience in Purchasing and/or Procurement, with strong business and commercial acumen.
Minimum 2 years of experience specifically related to coffee bean sales, procurement, or bulk agricultural products.
Proven track record in developing business channels and customer/supplier resources in Southeast Deep understanding of the coffee raw material market, including green beans, roasted beans, and related coffee products.
Ability to independently develop suppliers while maintaining a focus on ROI and market trends.Comprehensive knowledge of coffee bean origins, varieties, taste profiles, and roasting degrees.
Strong analytical skills, results-oriented, and able to work independently in an international, fast-paced environment.
Professional fluency in English (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) to communicate and to report to the China-based headquarters.
