This position can be located within Europe and is home office based. This role requires travel throughout Europe and international locations from as needed; business travel is approximately 50% or more of work time.

Position Summary

Provides internal and external customer technical services with a primary focus on dairy nutrition and management. Actively participates in the process for market support tests and trials. Communicates openly with internal and external customers to enhance customer satisfaction and grow sales of Zinpro products.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Provides dairy nutritional and management services for primarily Europe.
• Provides dairy nutritional and management services for global regions as requested and approved.
• Directs, coordinates, and summarizes dairy customer validation trials.
• Maintains standing within the scientific/veterinary community by attending scientific/veterinary meetings and cultivates contacts and relationships with University and Research personnel in the regions.
• Reports on new products or process technology of competitors and discusses new specifications required by customers.
• Remains abreast of the latest dairy research findings and technologies being implemented in dairy cows.
• Assists in all species research activities when required

Responsibilities:

• Develop presentations, economic models, and other tools to enhance customer satisfaction and product sales.
• Promote product use and benefits to the end user, customers and key influencers.
• Work with internal customers, sales, and marketing, to complete assigned projects on a timely basis.
• Communicate openly with internal and external customers to enhance customer satisfaction and grow sales of Zinpro products.
• Evaluate findings to develop new concepts, products, equipment, or processes, and/or to develop applications of findings to new uses.
• Coordinate nutritional liaison services between management, production department, sales department, and customers with newly developed techniques or practices in utilizing company products.
• Participate in ongoing education to stay current with industry leading business practices, Zinpro software, analytical and information technology skills.
• Adhere to attendance and punctuality standards.
• Maintain suitable availability to ensure proper execution of duties whether at various sites or via remote connection.
• Follow through on assigned tasks, work independently, and completes work on time.
• Comply with instructions and management direction, display a cooperative and positive, tactful and courteous business manner, maintains good working relationship with co-workers.

Qualificationse

Minimum Required:

• Scientific degree (MSc, Ph.D. or D.V.M.) in Animal Science or related field.
• Five or more years of related experience and/or training in animal nutrition.
• Experience managing a network of customers and supporting their needs.
• Extensive experience and judgment required to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of technical and practical tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
• Experience and understanding of mid-sized company culture and desire to work in the setting.
• High level of English including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Ability to effectively present information to customers, public groups, leadership, and scientific peers.
• Ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels internally and externally.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office and experience in feed formulation.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

The work environment consists of multiple different environments: standard home office, long periods in a motor vehicle, farms, animal producers, manufacturing facilities, and/or at client/customers facilities.

Positions in this class typically require typing, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 kg of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Schedule Requirements

This position is expected to work within core business hours and requires participation in after-hours and weekend calls, customer/client events & meetings, and industry events.

Travel Requirements

Expected to travel as needed, according to company standards. Travel throughout Europe and international locations from as needed; business travel is approximately 50% or more of work time.
