About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator Project Officer to support project planning, cost estimation, and budgeting processes. The role is critical in evaluating project scopes, preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing bids, and supporting procurement and project delivery activities. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with practical experience in project estimation and coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review detailed cost estimates for projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overheads.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and related documents to determine scope and requirements.
• Liaise with engineers, architects, contractors, and suppliers to gather data and validate cost inputs.
• Develop and maintain unit rates, cost databases, and pricing benchmarks.
• Support bid and tender submissions with detailed cost breakdowns and risk assessments.
• Assist in project scheduling, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting.
• Monitor project costs during execution to ensure alignment with budgets and identify variances.
• Support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives during the design and construction phases.
• Prepare regular cost reports, estimates-at-completion, and financial updates for stakeholders.
• Contribute to post-project reviews to assess estimate accuracy and inform future projects.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in estimating, cost control, or project coordination roles in FnB Industry
• Strong proficiency with estimating software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, RSMeans, or similar).
• Solid understanding of construction methods, project lifecycles, and procurement processes.
• High-level Excel skills and familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
