- Develop and execute category strategies for the Food segment in alignment with overall company objectives.
- Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks within the Food category.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure optimal terms and conditions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and procurement teams to drive category growth and profitability.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, pricing, and assortment to make data-driven decisions.
- Stay updated on industry developments, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to maintain a competitive edge.
- Lead promotional activities, seasonal campaigns, and product launches to drive customer engagement and sales.
- Implement effective inventory management strategies to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards within the Food category. The Successful Applicant
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in category management within the retail or FMCG industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing the Food category, preferably within the modern channel (e.g., supermarkets, hypermarkets, convenience stores).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute long-term plans.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
