As part of their continuous growth and expansion, they are seeking an experienced General Manager of Palm Oil Plantation to lead their operations.

    Job Description

  • The successful candidate will provide strong and visionary leadership to the plantation team, nurturing a culture of sustainability, environmental responsibility, and collaboration
  • They will oversee all facets of palm oil plantation operations, ensuring efficient resource use, high yield, and compliance with environmental and social responsibility standards
  • The General Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing both short-term and long-term strategic plans to optimize plantation performance, emphasizing sustainable practices and cost-effective strategies.
  • Ensuring the production of high-quality palm oil products that meet industry standards and customer expectations.
  • The candidate will be accountable for ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations governing palm oil plantation operations, with a strong focus on sustainability and community engagement.
  • Developing and managing the plantation's budget, with a keen eye on monitoring expenses and ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Identifying and mitigating potential operational and environmental risks and implementing preventive measures and contingency plans.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with local communities, regulatory agencies, and industry partners. The Successful Applicant
  • A bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, or a related field is required. An MBA is considered an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience of at least 10 years in a leadership role within the palm oil plantation industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of palm oil plantation processes, sustainable practices, and industry regulations.
  • Strong understanding of environmental and social responsibility related to palm oil plantations.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to drive sustainable practices and cost-effective operations.
  • Proficiency in budget management and financial acumen.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change and adapt to evolving industry trends.
