    About Our Client:

    Our client is a multinational corporation specializing in the home furnishings industry.

    About This Job:

    This role involves creating a strategic roadmap that encompasses both short-term and long-term objectives for the Sourcing department. The primary aim is to align these objectives with the company's vision and mission, both in the present and for the future.

    Responsibilities:

    • Classify suppliers, both existing and potential, based on criteria like raw materials and specialization.
    • Regularly evaluate and maintain the supplier database, ensuring tasks are distributed fairly among Specialists.
    • Source new suppliers to meet company needs, employing methods such as RFI, RFQ, monitoring, and attending trade fairs.
    • Act as the primary liaison between company and suppliers, ensuring contract execution.
    • Resolve commercial, financial, time, and delay disputes with suppliers.
    • Effectively monitor supplier performance, including rating and assessment.
    • Conduct annual reviews and lead negotiations.
    • Collaborate on cost breakdown with other departments to challenge suppliers and enhance transparency.
    • Empower and train Specialists to excel in their roles.
    • Be the main source of information for all Sourcing matters in the region.
    • Provide information and propose alternative solutions for Sourcing activities.
    • Foster team harmony to align with company objectives.
    • Regularly generate clear reports for your manager.

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years experience as a Sourcing Lead in the Furniture Industry in Indonesia is mandatory.
    • In-depth understanding of various materials used in furniture manufacturing, including their characteristics and applications.
    • Proficiency in regulatory compliance.
    • Strong skills in supplier evaluation and selection, with the ability to assess and classify suppliers based on criteria such as quality, cost, reliability, and capacity.
    • Expertise in cost analysis and data analysis, including a solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of the woodworking process in the furniture industry, covering materials such as core, supports, and accessories.
    • Exceptional negotiation skills.
    • Proficient in business-level English (knowledge in another language is a plus).
    • Effective communication skills and a talent for negotiation.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Strategic thinking with robust emotional intelligence for adaptability.
