Title: Data Vault Modeler

Client have a new Data Platform. Need someone to come in who can do the transformation and hit the ground running. Looking for a Data Vault Modeler who has experience with transformation, DBT, Python, SQL and Databricks.

• Deep domain expertise in scientific data: chemistry, biology, life sciences, biotechnology, or material science research data
• Proven experience designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models tailored to scientific and experimental datasets (e.g., lab results, assay data, molecular structures, experimental workflows).
• 5–7 years' professional experience in data modelling, including at least 3 years of Data Vault modelling in complex or regulated environments.
• Strong proficiency in SQL with hands-on expertise in Databricks or comparable data warehousing platforms.
• In-depth knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data integration, with proven ability to work with large, diverse, and complex scientific datasets.
• Ability to create feasible, scalable, and reusable data models to support ongoing R&D, ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance with scientific standards (e.g., FAIR principles).
• Demonstrated ability to translate scientific research requirements into robust data models, bridging the gap between researchers, data architects, and engineers.
• Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, and quality controls in scientific or R&D environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with both technical teams and scientific stakeholders.
