- Serve as primary point of contact during major incidents
- Maintain and enhance telemetry systems for application and business metrics
- Develop and monitor standard operational processes
- Support agile development practices and continuous delivery standards
- Build guardrails for secure deployments and code quality
- Partner with CyberSecurity to automate vulnerability response plans
- Identify failure points and blast radius across systems
- Coordinate failure injection testing and game day exercises
- Forecast seasonal growth and design infrastructure to support 2x planned load
- Improve scaling strategies and resiliency patterns
- Mentor engineers and foster technical growth
- Lead triage bridges during on-call rotations
- Monitor customer experience metrics and golden signals
- Experience as a Software Engineer with enterprise application development background
- Strong AWS production infrastructure experience
- Proven Terraform expertise creating infrastructure in AWS
- Experience with ECS or EKS container orchestration
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Strong troubleshooting across web, application, OS, network, storage, and database layers
- Experience with high-concurrency workloads and caching strategies
- Strong root cause analysis and systems engineering skills
- Ability to design and manage escalation response plans
- Demonstrated ability managing highly scaled cloud infrastructure
- BS in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Automation-first mindset
- On-call participation required
