Placing women's rights at the centre of all its efforts, UN Women leads and coordinates United Nations system efforts to ensure that commitments on gender equality and gender mainstreaming translate into action throughout the world. It provides strong and coherent leadership in support of Member States' priorities and efforts, building effective partnerships with civil society and other relevant actors.

    There has been significant growth in programme, budget, and personnel at UN Women Indonesia from 2019 to 2023. This expansion reflects the organization's expansion and increases operational capacity. The considerable increase in the budget allocated to UN Women Indonesia, which has doubled in size compared to 2019 resulted in the increasing of Finance task, including the processing of payment documents, to accommodate the expanded scope of activities and initiatives undertaken by UN Women Indonesia.

    The Finance Support Consultant will work on primarily to support Finance Associate in performing financial related task but limited to the non-Quantum tasks. The Consultant works in close collaboration with the operation team contributing in consistent service delivery and improvement of business process.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Under the overall supervision of the Finance Associate, and direct support to Operation Unit, the consultant will:

  • Provide support in the process of reviewing transactions supporting documents
  • Provide support in payment document preparation and monitoring payments status
  • Provide support in VAT exemption process and disseminate VAT documents to respective units
  • Be responsible for finance document (softcopies and hardcopies) filing and maintenance
  • Provide support to another unit regarding financial documents
  • Disseminate finance information to all staff as requested by OM or Finance
  • Perform other financial related task as required
  • Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in economic or accounting/finance
  • Working experience in accounting / finance/audit area minimum 2 years
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to dynamic working environments
  • Detail oriented
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting a team; and
  • Fluency in oral and written English.
