Overview

Our scale-jet client is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee financial aspects of its e-commerce brands. You'll ensure accurate records, develop cost optimization strategies and drive financial efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping and Cleanup
  • Manage accurate records for accounts payable, receivable and general ledger entries.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations and rectify discrepancies.
  • Budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
  • Share weekly financial insights and reports.
• Cost Management and Optimization
  • Analyze expenses across brands and identify savings opportunities.
  • Develop strategies to maximize profitability.
• Tax Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian tax laws for all entities.
• Financial Strategy
  • Collaborate with leadership to align financial strategies with company goals.
  • Offer recommendations to improve financial performance and mitigate risks.
• Vendor Relations
  • Oversee vendor accounts, ensuring favorable terms and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor agreements and contracts for compliance and efficiency.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience in financial management or e-commerce.
• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian tax laws.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
