    About the Role:

    Wirehire seeks an experienced and results-driven Director of Finance and Controller to lead our finance function. This pivotal role will oversee all financial activities, emphasizing robust costing systems and rigorous financial controls.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage the finance department, including accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax, and internal controls.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain accurate costing methodologies for detailed product cost insights and operational efficiency analysis.
    • Oversee cost report preparation, variance analysis, and profitability analysis for strategic decision-making support.
    • Establish strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial information integrity.
    • Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures for compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
    • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes for timely financial reporting.
    • Prepare and present financial statements, reports, and forecasts to senior management and stakeholders.
    • Lead the annual budgeting process and monitor performance against budget, providing insightful variance analysis and recommendations.
    • Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions effectively.
    • Ensure tax regulation compliance and manage tax planning and reporting.
    • Collaborate with departments for financial insights and business initiative support.
    • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
    • Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.
    • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems.
    • Provide strategic financial input to the executive team.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or relevant professional certification is highly preferred.
    • Minimum 10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position overseeing finance and controlling functions.
    • Demonstrable expertise in developing sophisticated costing systems and methodologies.
    • Proven track record of establishing strong financial control environments.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills for conveying complex financial information.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills for building high-performing teams.
    • Proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems.
    • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
