    Job Description

    As the Head of Trade Marketing, you will lead the trade marketing function and play a pivotal role in shaping the brand presence in the market. This senior role requires a candidate with extensive experience in both trade marketing and sales. The key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and execute trade marketing strategies and plans to achieve sales targets and market share growth.
  • Lead and mentor a team of professionals, fostering their growth and development.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure alignment and effective execution of trade marketing initiatives.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
  • Manage trade promotions, pricing strategies, and trade incentive programs.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners and distribution networks.
  • Analyse trade marketing performance metrics, using data-driven insights to recommend improvements.
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of trade marketing materials, including point-of-sale displays, merchandising tools, and promotional collateral.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Prepare and groom for future leadership

    The Successful Applicant
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 15 years of combined experience in trade marketing and sales in the consumer goods industry.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide teams to success.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and market research tools.
  • Innovative mindset and the ability to think creatively to drive results.
