    As a Sales Engineer for Motion business, you will be responsible for sales of motors products within a designated market in accordance with strategy. Achieving both qualitative and quantitative sales targets in a profitable way: order growth, revenues, profitability, market share and customer satisfaction.

    Reporting to Sales Manager, you will be building long term customer relationships and manage resolution to specific customer needs and issues. Identifying and developing sales opportunities.

    This position is based in Surabaya, Indonesia.

    Your responsibilities

    • Selling products to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for assigned divisions
    • Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promoting customer understanding of full product offering, and align to provide a solution
    • Preparing sales plans using company tools. Performing regular status reviewing and proposing recovery plans in cases of potential order shortfalls
    • Creating added value for the customer and ABB and ensuring the successful outcome of transactions, contracts and proposals by using effective sales techniques
    • Ensuring efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers
    • Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities in the designated market and ensuring know-how sharing and cross-collaboration
    • Managing administrative procedures in sales processes and supporting collection and project management activities when needed
    • Ensuring appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions

    Your background

    • Bachelor's degree from electrical engineering or similar is preferred
    • 2-3 years of experience in sales and marketing
    • Successful previous experience as a sales engineer, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
    • Strong business sense and industry expertise, time-management and organizational skills proven ability to drive sales process from plan to close
    • Well-developed negotiation and sales skills and ability to coordinate several tasks at the same time
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels including to customer, partner and internal level in the organization
