As a multinational corporation, it has a complex organisational structure and operates in multiple countries, with the Jakarta office serving as a significant hub for its operations in Indonesia. The company's emphasis on tax compliance and strategy suggests a commitment to operating within local regulations while optimising its tax position to support its business objectives and financial performance.

    Description

    • Develop and implement tax strategies to ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations while maximising tax efficiency for the multinational manufacturing company in Jakarta.
    • Manage all aspects of tax compliance, including the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness to meet regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct regular tax reviews and audits to assess compliance, identify areas of risk, and implement corrective actions as needed.
    • Provide strategic tax advice and guidance to senior management on business transactions, investments, and operations to optimise tax outcomes and minimise liabilities.
    • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, and operations teams, to ensure alignment of tax strategies with business objectives and initiatives.
    • Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations in Indonesia, as well as international tax developments, to proactively assess their impact on the company and recommend appropriate actions.
    • Represent the company in tax matters with external stakeholders, including tax authorities, auditors, and consultants, to address inquiries, resolve disputes, and negotiate beneficial outcomes.

    Profile

    • Extensive experience in tax management and compliance within the manufacturing sector, preferably in a multinational environment, with 12+ years of relevant experience.
    • Strong understanding of Indonesian tax laws and regulations, with a proven track record of ensuring compliance and optimising tax efficiency.
    • Experience in leading tax initiatives and strategies to support business objectives and minimise tax liabilities.
    • Excellent analytic skills and attention to detail, with the ability to conduct thorough tax reviews and audits to identify risks and opportunities.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners.
    • Proactive approach to staying updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, as well as industry trends and best practices.
    • Big 4 experience in tax advisory or consulting roles would be a significant advantage.
