    About Our Client

    We are currently representing a leading plantation company based in Sumatra, Indonesia. They are currently seeking a well rounded Operational Director to assist them in this time of growth.

    Job Description

  • Oversee all aspects of plantation operations, including cultivation, harvesting, processing, and distribution, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement best practices and operational standards to streamline processes, improve workflow efficiency, and maximize output.
  • Provide visionary leadership to operational teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and areas for improvement, implementing strategies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and metrics to track progress and drive performance optimization initiatives.
  • Manage the end-to-end supply chain process, including inventory management, procurement, logistics, and distribution, to ensure seamless operations and timely delivery of products.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize supply chain efficiency, minimize costs, and mitigate risks.
  • Build and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, department heads, government agencies, local communities, suppliers, and customers.
  • Develop and manage operational budgets, monitor expenditures, and analyze financial performance to optimize resource allocation and drive profitability.
  • Implement cost-control measures and financial strategies to achieve operational efficiency and maximize returns on investment.
  • Identify potential operational risks and challenges, developing proactive risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to safeguard business operations and assets.
  • Monitor market trends and industry developments to anticipate potential risks and capitalize on emerging opportunities. The Successful Applicant
  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in plantation management, agricultural operations, or related industry, with a proven track record of success in leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of plantation operations, agricultural practices, and supply chain management principles.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate teams across diverse functions and levels.
  • Strategic thinker with demonstrated experience in developing and implementing operational strategies and initiatives to drive business growth and performance improvement.
  • Proficient in financial management, budgeting, and cost control, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations, sustainability standards, and corporate social responsibility principles.
