    Job Summary

    The Logistics Jr. Supervisor supports the logistics team by overseeing daily operations and ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials. This role involves coordinating with warehouse staff, transportation providers, and other stakeholders to manage inventory levels, track shipments, and resolve any logistical issues. The Logistics Jr. Supervisor assists in implementing process improvements, maintaining compliance with safety regulations, and providing training to team members.

    Responsibilities

    Planning and Coordination
    • Oversee and coordinate daily logistics operations
    • Develop and implement efficient logistics processes
    • Track and monitor inventory levels
    • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers
    • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services
    • Monitor and report on transportation and warehousing activities

    Cost Management
    • Analyze and identify cost-saving opportunities
    • Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors and suppliers
    • Monitor logistics expenses and create budget plans
    • Implement cost-effective solutions for transportation and warehousing
    • Provide regular cost reports to upper management

    Quality Control
    • Conduct regular quality checks on incoming and outgoing shipments
    • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
    • Address any quality issues and implement corrective actions
    • Monitor and maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization
    • Ensure proper handling and storage of goods

    Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners
    • Collaborate with other departments to improve logistics processes
    • Resolve any conflicts or issues between team members or departments
    • Participate in cross-functional meetings and initiatives

    Continuous Improvement
    • Identify areas for improvement in logistics operations
    • Implement and monitor process improvements
    • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices
    • Encourage and support a culture of continuous improvement within the team
    • Provide recommendations for cost and time-saving measures.

    • Empowerment: Mentor junior team members, fostering their growth and skill development.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align processes and achieve goals.

    Qualifications
    • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field with at least 2 years experience or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.
    • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL).
    • In-depth understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
    • Experience with inventory management software and systems.
    • Ability to develop and implement inventory optimization strategies.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Good understanding of international trade laws and customs regulations.
