MUHAMMAD 'ILMAN NUR 'ARIF

I am fresh graduate from Faculty of Law Airlangga University with concentration in business law, especially in the field of transportation law and insurance law as my thesis topic, with 3.93 GPA. I have good teamwork, time management, communication, and legal drafting skills. I actively joined in several campus organizations such as ALSA LC Unair, BEM FH Unair, and many commites or volunteers. I successfully became the winner of national contract drafting competition, and became the first runner up of national moot court competition with best expert predicate. I also have several work experiences form internship program at KJD Law Firm, Law Firm Minola Sebayang and Partners, LBH Surabaya Children Crisis Center, and PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 3 as legal staff intern.

Legal Staff Internship at PT Pelabuhan Indonesia Regional 3 (April 2024-June 2024) 

• Drafted legal briefs, contracts, and litigation documents for supervisor review, resulting in increased efficiency and productivity for the legal department; 
• Reviewed and assisted in the drafting of company procurement contract, addendum of the contract, and attachment documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal requirements; 
• Assisted with legal research and analysis to increase efficiency and accuracy in case preparation;
• Maintained and compiled company legal databases containing cooperation administration documents, procurement tender documents, court decisions, and litigation documents.)

Legal Assistant Internship at Law Firm Minola Sebayang and Partners (July 2023-August 2023) 

• Drafted more than 5 (five) legal opinions in criminal cases such as embezzlement, fraud, and document forgery; 
• Conducted weekly case review to investigate the progress of cases being handled; 
• Drafted several contracts such as procurement contract, construction contract and presented to junior associates approximately twice in a week; 
• Reviewed and compiled litigation documents on cases being handled such as power of attorney, lawsuit, summons letters, and evidences of the cases.)

Paralegal Internship at LBH Surabaya Children Crisis Center (June 2023-July 2023) 

• Conducted legal assistance for children in conflict with the law in 4 (four) trials agenda at Surabaya District Court; 
• Conducted legal assistance for cases of children in conflict with the law to testify in police interrogations at Surabaya Police Station (Polrestabes Surabaya); 
• Assistant advocate in handling several cases at Surabaya District Court; 
• Involved in a coordination meeting with the Surabaya City Government, attended by child and women's protection organizations in Surabaya.

Legal Assistant Internship at KJD Law Firm (February 2023-March 2023) 

• Drafted and prepared legal documents including power of attorney, summon letters, lawsuit, and lawsuit answers in accordance with the cases being handled; 
• Drafted several agreements which include sale and purchase agreements, cooperation agreements, lease agreements, and certain time work agreements (PKWT); 
• Prepared legal opinions and legal memorandums for the client's interest; 
• Created 3 (three) legal issue contents in a week to published on the law firm's website; 
• Composed an identification of laws and regulations using a comparison matrix to be presented at the end of the internship.
