Michalina Tokarska

Good morning, 

My name is Michalina Tokarska. I am originally from Poland, where I studied design. My background is in domestic design and carpentry. I am passionate about aesthetics, trends, and visuals and am detail-oriented. 

Since 2019 I have been living in Asia (Vietnam / Indonesia / Thailand), where I developed my skills as a designer collaborating with local carpenters and learning about wood distribution throughout South East Asia and other parts of the world. I speak perfect English, and I am learning Bahasa Indonesian. 

Moreover, I graduated in furniture and domestic design and was able to work as an assistant for the head designer in the COM40 company, which develops and builds furniture for IKEA. This experience gave me enough knowledge about where I want to direct my career path. 

I am a team player, with an easy and open-minded attitude. I like learning new things that widen my horizons. I am also passionate about carpentry, design, furniture, and the production side. I enjoy designing new ideas that can help innovate new solutions on the market and support the production line to be more effective and efficient. 

In my experience, I have learned that communication and a well-organized week with your team can make wonders, therefore I've learned how to manage small teams and navigate daily/ weekly tasks between each group. 

I am looking for an internship with a future possibility to stay in the company because I want to learn more about design, and programs that support the creative process. Moreover, I believe I am a perfect fit for this role, with my current skills and background.
