I started teaching year 2000 in a small private school, but took this opportunity to hone my skills after graduating in college. A year after, I ventured in a bigger horizon in the field of teaching when I got accepted in a government school. For fourteen years, I had gone through a lot of challenges that tested and molded me to become a better educator. I embraced changes and abreast myself with current teaching strategies and trends in teaching and learning environment. With more than 100 learners per class, indeed the challenge to cater the needs was at stake and how to make learning happen seemed impossible. However, with the skills and commitment and passion I am equipped with, I successfully rendered true service among my learners. Year 2016, the beginning of my 15th year of being an educator, the setting has changed when I left Philippines and started my career in Jakarta, Indonesia. Since then, I have become even better as I explored new curriculum and faced new challenges in the field of education where learners are with different dynamics and learning styles. Now, I must say, not only my students have gained knowledge and developed their skills because of me; the truth is that I have acquired so much learning in many areas - test constructions, current and creative teaching strategies, and many other relevant learning that an educator could bring along in the journey of educating the youth. 

I finished my primary and secondary education in a remote area in the Philippines. After the basic education, I left home to study in college as a working student - served as a housemaid and studied at the same time. During my college days, I was once in a President's list and Dean's List of top students in two separate years. I enrolled in post graduate studies for completed all the academic requirement subjects prior to thesis writing. However, my opportunity to work abroad came, which made me decide to leave, so I was not able to finish the program.
