Hello,

my name is Ben and I am a senior designer currently based in Indonesia. After years of work in France, Singapore, and Australia I am now looking to relocate to Switzerland.

From an architectural background, I have worked as a designer on multiple projects for a global design firm in Paris. Later, I started a design collective and worked on many design projects (product design, UX/UI, visual communication, branding, graphic design, etc). It allowed me to collaborate with different companies and individuals and taught me how to work with stakeholders.

Then, I cofounded a company in Singapore, allowing people to collaborate online with designers worldwide. This online marketplace was a challenge because of the cultural differences of our users, but also because of the collaboration required between users and designers. Thanks to this experience, I have confirmed and improved my knowledge about User Experience and product design, but also worked with developers and designers on a daily basis.

Next, I joined a Singapore based company as a UX Lead and worked on a new product, allowing developers to build products more efficiently. I worked in a team with seven developers and managed all design-related work.

In Sydney, I joined Expert360 where I managed a team of three designers. I made sure the design system was up to date and did my best so the design team remained passionate and motivated. I worked on the design process with product managers and tech leads.

Later in 2019, I became the head of design in 4mation technologies. I created a new design offer, trained the team to facilitate workshops and optimized processes. I managed a team of two designers and a SEO expert.

In January 2021, I joined Janison as Head of UX. We entirely redesigned one of Janison’s core products and created a design system from scratch. 

Before my second child was born, I decided to work part-time with an agency, in order to spend time with my first child for a couple of months. 

Then, I joined Solar Analytics as the head of UX in October 2021. I’ve been with them since, and worked on the current platform optimisation and redesign. I also started creating a design system and I am currently designing a new native app. I am managing all design related work, contractors, and a UX writer. 

When it comes to the design field, I have done a bit of everything and feel comfortable leading a team and being hands-on. I have worked with developers, project/product managers, and engineering teams in agile environments for years and enjoyed it.
